The government has launched a portal called CPCB (Central Pollution Control Board) where producers/importers/brand owners (PIBOs) and manufacturers can apply for EPR registration online. EPR Certificate Validity

As per the Plastic Waste Management Rules 2016 and further Amendment Rules available on the online portal, the Plastic Waste EPR Registration is valid for 5 year. As per the Plastic-Waste Management Rules 2022 and subsequent Amendment Rules, the Plastic-Waste certificate is granted for a period of 1 Year.
Once the plastic waste certificate has been renewed, it is valid for 5 years.

Currently, only Brand Owners falling under the Micro and Small Category of MSME are exempted from complying with Plastic EPR Compliances.
